Weed Abatement

The Linda Fire Protection District's weed abatement program is designed to reduce the wildland fire threat throughout the District by requiring property owners to remove tall and/or heavy growth of vegetation on their properties. Parcel inspections begin in April and corrective notices are mailed the first week in May. Property owners are required to remove the hazard by the middle of June. If they fail to remove the hazard, the District will hire a contractor to remove the hazard and invoice the property owner.

More information is available on the notices themselves or by contacting the District's Administrative Assistant at Station 1.
